Istanbul-Almaty, 01 April 2019 - FlyArystan, a new low-cost carrier from Kazakhstan, has signed up for the Passenger Service System (PSS) provided by leading IT company Hitit. FlyArystan is the low-cost carrier of Air Astana, the flag carrier of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based in Almaty. The innovative system to be used by FlyArystan includes reservations, inventory, ticketing capabilities plus internet booking and departure control. The next generation IT system from Hitit is designed to establish FlyArystan as an important player in the dynamic Central Asian region.
FlyArystan has chosen Hitit’s Crane solution suite. The carrier implemented Crane PAX, the Passenger Service System from Hitit. Furthermore, the airline has started to use Hitit’s Internet Booking Engine (IBE), the Departure Control System (DCS), and Weight & Balance modules.
Hitit’s Crane airline suite is a next generation IT system that helps FlyArystan to establish an enhanced and personalized customer experience. Furthermore, it provides the new carrier with operational efficiency and a broad variety of distribution channels and revenue streams.
In November 2018 Air Astana announced the launch of a low-cost airline for the first half of 2019. It has begun to operate a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft, configured to an all economy class of 180 seats, as a classic LCC model with low airfares on mostly domestic routes. In the mid-term FlyArystan is expected to expand into regional international routes. According to Air Astana the new LCC will initially operate four aircraft, growing to a fleet of at least 15 by 2022. FlyArystan’s management team has already been appointed and is drawn from Air Astana’s senior local managers, whom the airline has been developing for the last 16 years.
Hitit, which was named one of the Top 5 PSS providers in the field of aviation and travel IT systems, offers services to a wide range of carriers from start-up airlines to network airlines.
FlyArystan is Hitit’s third partner in the Central Asia region. “This new partnership is very valuable for Hitit”, said Nevra Onursal Karaagac, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Hitit. “Hitit’s services support FlyArystan with state-of-the-art technology for passenger service, operations and distribution. We hope to grow together in the region and support FlyArystan in their journey for many more years to come”, Mrs Onursal Karaagac added.
Janar Jailauova, Director of Sales & Marketing of FlyArystan said about the new partnership; “After an extensive process we decided that Hitit provides FlyArystan with the right solution for our desired high quality low cost carrier business model.
