What a remarkable milestone it is to celebrate Hitit’s 30th anniversary alongside our cherished members of the Hitit community. It’s hard to believe that just three decades ago, air travel meant calling airlines to book tickets, waiting for paper tickets with individual sheets for each leg of the journey, and having no concept of electronic boarding passes. The technological breakthroughs of the 1990s revolutionized the aviation and travel industries, bringing unprecedented comfort and convenience into our lives.
At Hitit, we take immense pride in being pioneers of this transformative journey. Looking back over the years, we reflect on our achievements in airline technology and proudly acknowledge that Hitit has created its own kind of magic over three amazing decades. Thanks to the visionary leadership of our founders, and our team’s relentless dedication to transforming air travel through technology, Hitit’s Passenger Services System (PSS) now stands as the 2nd largest in Europe and the 3rd largest globally. We serve a vast network of approximately 100 million passengers, 30,000 agents, and 700 airports across 85 countries.
This accomplishment isn’t just the result of Hitit’s employees’ efforts; it’s a true success story built in collaboration with our Partner airlines and stakeholders. As you know, our approach to describing this system is through Community Governance!
As we celebrate this milestone, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all Partner airlines and stakeholders who have been part of this incredible journey. We conclude with a special message from Ms. Nur Gökman, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Founding General Manager of Hitit, on this momentous occasion:
“I extend my sincere gratitude to all who have placed their trust in Hitit, joined us on our journey, intersected paths with us, and shared in our common destiny. 30 years have passed, yet our journey is far from over. We have only just started. Here’s to many more decades of progress, unity, and unwavering confidence based on teamwork and innovation……”
