We are proud to share that Hitit was recently featured on Skift, one of the most influential media platforms covering the aviation and travel industries. In the Skift Take section, editors highlighted the strategic shift toward modern airline retailing, a transformation that is reshaping how airlines create, sell, and service travel products, and showcased Hitit Oxygen as the world’s largest live implementation of this new approach.

In an interview with our CEO Nevra Onursal Karaagac, it was discussed how the long-theorized transition from legacy systems to offer and order-based retailing is now being realized in real operational environments through Hitit Oxygen. Built in accordance with IATA New Distribution Capability (NDC) and IATA ONE Order standards, Hitit Oxygen went live with Pegasus Airlines in June 2025 and continues to demonstrate its readiness and scalability in a production environment.

The article explores how airlines are moving from traditional structures to modern retailing, driven by evolving passenger expectations and the need for flexibility and personalization. It explains how Hitit Oxygen’s modular and PSS agnostic architecture allows airlines to transition at their own pace, enabling a more dynamic, customer-centric approach to offer creation, pricing, and order management.
