Istanbul, 15 January 2016 – Turkmenistan’s flag carrier Turkmenistan Airlines and Hitit Computer Services announce that they have signed a Passenger Service System (PSS) supply agreement. The PSS to be provided by Hitit, will cover reservations and ticketing (Crane PAX & Crane IBE), check-in and departure control (Crane DCS), and integrated loyalty management functions.
The state national service Turkmenistan Airlines operates domestic and international passenger and cargo services mainly from its hub in Ashgabat International Airport. In March 2014 Turkmenistan Airlines started to commence long-haul flights and as of April 2015, the airline operates 23 domestic and international destinations with a fleet of 33 aircraft.
In alignment with airlines’ approach to investing in new technologies for continuous improvement, the airline chose Hitit as its PSS partner. With its service-oriented architecture (SOA), it provides airlines with the flexibility and control they need in adopting and benefiting from the changing market conditions, with alternatives in inventory control, fare structures, online web and mobile booking, ancillary services and partnership capabilities.
Kerim Gayyrov Turkmenistan Airlines’ Chief of Marketing and International Relations commented: “We are very excited to become a part of the growing Hitit family. Thanks to the efficient distribution capabilities of Crane products such as the integrated IBE we will be able to offer our passengers the state-of-the-art service they expect from Turkmenistan Airlines much more easily.”
“We are thrilled with Turkmenistan Airlines’ decision to choose Hitit Computer Services as its provider for the airline PSS.
