Istanbul, 07 January 2019 – 2018 was Hitit’s most successful year since the company was founded in 1994. Three new partners joined Hitit’s network of airline partnerships. Pakistan’s national flag carrier PIA, Kam Air from Afghanistan, and start-up carrier Passion Air based in Accra, Ghana, all partnered with Hitit during the year. “In 2018 we achieved the best results in our corporate history,” said Nevra Onursal Karaagac, Chief Marketing Officer of Hitit. “In particular the challenging migration of PIA to Hitit on the night of 11th September went extremely well,” said Mrs. Karaagac. Today, Hitit provides airline IT solutions and services to 16 countries, and its Departure Control System (Crane DCS) is used in over 160 airports worldwide. Hitit processed more than 60 billion flight queries and 65 million passengers through its systems in 2018.

“Our hard work was rewarded with both national and international awards, as well as new partners who migrated their systems to our advanced IT solution suite, “ said Nevra Onursal Karaagac. With Pakistan International Airlines, Kam Air (Afghanistan), and Passion Air (Ghana); these new airlines have chosen Hitit‘s innovative Crane solutions in the fields of PSS, operations planning, and accounting. Today, Hitit‘s solutions and services are one of the most preferred choices for airlines from 5 continents in the airline IT marketplace.“

Hitit’s agency platform is used by more than 70,000 agencies worldwide. The company’s innovative PSS product suite Crane is ready to process IATA’s NDC production and distribution. Constant development and enhancement of solutions and services are ensuring that Hitit provides the most advanced technology to serve their customers' needs and increase profitability. During the Air Convention in Vilnius (Lithuania), Hitit demonstrated how state-of-the-art technology could lead to a better and hassle-free passenger experience in airports. By implementing enhanced technology solutions like the single identity token One ID, passengers will be able to walk into the airport without having to stop at the check-in counter or pass through security. Hitit continues to observe closely and track all technological developments in the industry, ensuring they deliver partner airlines with the most innovative technology”

In 2018 Hitit received three awards for its solutions and management. In February International Transport News honored Hitit as “The Leading PSS Provider 2018” followed by Corporate Vision Magazine (CV) honoring Nur Gökman, CEO of Hitit Computer Services, as the “Most Influential Female CEO 2018 in Technology”.
