Istanbul / Entebbe – 29 August 2019 Hitit, a leading airline software company, announces a new partnership with Uganda Airlines. The nation's flagship carrier which was rebirthed earlier this year is fully owned by the government of Uganda and is entering the market with state-of-the-art Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft to serve the region.

Hitit signed a new partnership agreement with Uganda Airlines, this makes it the tenth airline on the continent over the past 5 years. According to the partnership, Hitit provides a reservation and passenger service, an internet booking engine, a mobile application, and a departure control system to the returnee carrier. The systems transaction has been completed, and the flag carrier has now started to operate with its new PSS powered by Hitit. Hitit’s fully-fledged web-based PSS solutions are designed with the latest web technologies, using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), New Distribution Capability (IATA NDC level 4), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models.

Uganda Airlines is strategically positioned within the region and will be able to serve customers within the region conveniently with their direct flights from Entebbe to destinations like Mogadishu, Nairobi, Dar es salam, Juba, Mombasa, and Kilimanjaro.
