Istanbul, Turkey - 31 March 2021 - FlyArystan, Air Astana’s low-cost subsidiary, and the biggest LCC in Kazakhstan, launched its Istanbul operation effective March 2021. As FlyArystan’s first international flight, the route between Turkistan and Istanbul has a unique and distinguishing place in history, especially under the continuing pandemic conditions. Flyarystan is the fifth of Hitit’s partners to operate flights to Istanbul, joining Pakistan International Airlines, Turkmenistan Airlines, Kam Air from Afghanistan, and Nouvelair from Tunisia.
One of Hitit’s partner airlines, FlyArystan has started to operate a new route to Istanbul. The route has the significance of being the first nonstop international flight from the newly opened Turkistan International Airport. This international operation is another milestone for FlyArystan, which since its establishment in May 2019, has sustained noteworthy success with Hitit’s airline software system applied to every part of the carrier’s business. The airline carried more than 2 million passengers in 2020 and has expanded its fleet to seven aircraft.
