Dublin, 27 September 2017- Hitit CS CFO Mrs. Sezer Tug Ozmutlu spoke at IATA’s World Financial Symposium in Dublin about a total cost of airline distribution. New standards like NDC and One Order will change the sales and billings of airline services. Hitit CS obtained the highest level of certification by IATA for its NDC standard. 

IATA’s Financial Symposium is the major aviation event tackling global airline finance issues. During the conference, Mrs. Ozmutlu explained the opportunities of the new One Order standard. One Order is the concept of a single customer order record, holding all data elements obtained and required for order fulfilment across the air travel cycle such as customer data, order items, payment and billing information and fulfilment data. More than 750 delegates and 137 airlines from five regions are attending the conference on which Hitit CS has been the silver sponsor. 

Total Cost of Distribution is an important topic as many airlines have struggled to quantify the potential cost efficiencies of transformational change in distribution and payment, such as NDC and One Order. During the conference speakers have taken a deep dive into the total cost of distribution and analyze where industry transformation programs can shift the value chain and increase efficiency. 

Hitit CFO Ozmutlu looked at costs associated with today’s model of neutral ticketing in the indirect channel and multiple passenger records. This stream also analyzes costs associated with core Passenger Service System (PSS) functions, and how One Order may open the door for more competition amongst PSS vendors.
