In January 2018, Hitit realigned its organizational structure. New departments were announced, and senior executives were appointed. We will see a stronger focus on solution development and further proactive approaches to our partners demands, with this new dynamic arrangement. We will introduce our new structure and chief officers in our following issues, but firstly in this issue, we are delighted to introduce you to Semra Kandemir, our new Chief Product Strategy Officer. Semra has a degree in Engineering in Electronics and worked for Turkish Airlines between 1992 and 2009. In 2009 she joined the construction team of the Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul, and in 2013 she joined the Hitit team. Semra has had plenty of insights as our Infrastructure and Operations Director and is excited to lead new projects as our Chief Product Strategy Officer.
Bridging the gap between technology and product
Semra said; “For Hitit to succeed, departments must work together towards a common goal with a coordinated effort. With this in mind, the product strategy department will work closely with the technology department, one of the new branches of the reorganization. We will be supporting R&D projects, which are driven by the technology department, based on our partners' demands and industry trends. We are aware of the competitive environment in the industry, and therefore we strive to create new solutions, functions and upgrades, which will be exciting and appealing to our partner airlines. Within this framework, we have developed a new sub-branch called “Partner’s Support Unit” to understand our partners’ needs better. Partner’s Support Unit and Product Strategy Group will lead the product development focusing on core strategic issues such as personalized offers, tariff optimization, improvement over fares and taxes.”
